This is £8.86/hr.
That's what I'm on.
Any higher figure will presumably be for the London area and/or if the Delivery Supplement is added in.

Forget the del supp,it's the hourly rate you need which is what clash has posted.
The DS is completely seperate, and is seperate on your pay slip as well.

Basic pay = £354.56.
This is £8.86/hr.

And don't forget, the rate will be lower if you have been with the company for less than a year.

The DL is completely seperate.
It's not.
Part-timers get the del supp in their hourly rate up to 40hrs.
So a part-timers hourly rate up to 40 hrs is...£9.37.
it keeps them on the same wage as us if they work 40hrs.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Edit: There's a bit more to this than I originally thought!

My "pay rate" is £375.16 after being a postie just over a year.

Taking my most recent payslip...
22.5 hours for £199.44 gross (£8.864 per hour)
8.864 x 40 hours= £354.56
A FT delivery supplement would be £20.60= £375.16

But as I'm 22.5 hours...
17.17 hours o/t gives £165.33 gross (£9.629 per hour)
Delivery supplement £11.59
Basic pay £199.44
Defined Area supplement £5.63

Never realised until the last 20 minutes or so that my o/t hours are worth more than my contract, I always presumed "Basic pay" was pro rata of £375.16, with delivery supplement and defined area supplement as extras!

?
Why would they do that if it is seperate?
Their hourly rate goes up when their office 39hr week comes in i know that bit,but never heard of what you are saying.
The DL/D2D thing is seperate.

...because if a part-timer on 20hrs worked 40hrs he would only get half of the delivery supplement. :d'oh!
Royal Mail quickly realised that this would probably be unlawful discrimination so the easiest way to rectify it was to put the d/l into hourly rate under 40 hrs.
That way no matter how many hours you do you get the proper pro-rata on worked hours not contracted hours.

His contracted hours delivery supplement will be separate on his pay slip but every hour he works over his contacted hours will contain 51p extra for the delivery supplement......£9.37...or whatever ridiculous amount you London boys are on now. :chuckle

Just randomly picked one of my Xmas pay slips and this gets more confusing...

SSPR weekday overtime pays £9.629 per hour, between my contract 22.5 hours and 40 hours.

Yet my "weekday overtime first 10 hours" pays £9.414 per hour (£74.53 over 7hours 55mins).

Surely that cannot be right?

WTF! I'm guessing that has been in since the off,has never been mentioned on here before though.
Is this in writing anywhere?

I feel really sorry for all the DIMs who have to work soooo hard to try and claw back a few pennies from their hard working posties. Strange how you can work in one DO for years without any pay slip queries and then move to another where every week you have to check out your hours! :arrrghhh We have PTers doing SA collections which the DIM refuses to pay at SA and simply uses to make up their 40 hours. He's saving a few bob on his budget, which obviously helps towards his BONUS I can't be arsed anymore, they're all lying Bastards :arrrghhh Sorry nearly let them Grind me down for a minute. :whistle

After reading some of the comments on here I am still confused, especially with the paid extra leave.
Does anyone know the actual break down for anual leave entitlement in connection with the lenght of service.
I am trying to work out weather RM are taking extra money of me as I am paying over £120 a year more than a normal weeks wages (repaying £379 a year, while weekly wages are only £259)
I have been with RM for just over 10 years

It was never said that the delivery supplement would be pro-rata on contracted hours...everybody just assumed the worst...including some quite high up in the union. :silenced
The fact is legally that would always have been dodgy having two guys doing exactly the same job and the same hours and getting paid differently,if the only difference is one is full-time and the other is part-time.
If you read BT2010 it never mentions contracted hours with regards to the delivery supplement. :d'oh!
Ask some of the part-timers what their hourly rate is between their contracted hours and 40 if you don't believe me. :speak to the hand :so there :chuckle

If you have 6 weeks leave that sounds a little high but not by much.
At 10 years service you are entitled to 4 weeks 3.5 days which means you are purchasing 6.5 days which should work out at somewhere around the £330 mark but you will lose part of your delivery supplement as well..

I think you may be on to something with the delivery supplement and £9.37 hourly rate you know.

Didn't think of that before!
