I think these talks will just allow RM to regroup, get more casuals trained up and get all the new bullets and tanks they need to come back blasting.
As i said before, that better keep the strike live by reps going out for 15 mins, other wise they may not win another ballot.
Probally a wrong move by the cwu but time will tell.

totally agree, no call offs until adeal is signed, personally I haven't given up almosts a weeks wage just to be worked like a mule clearing the backlog over the next few weeks. This decision stinks!! :lfo :cfo

have we been done up by the top brass in the union once again we should be keeping the pressure up untill royal mail give in to what we want they had there chance to talk weeks ago now lets f**k them and keep walking

RM was down and out a few hours ago. AL/AC were on a shaky peg to losing their jobs - now it's miraculously got back up - now just watch RM ramp it up, subtely, in the next few hours/days/weeks.

I guarantee AL/AC, DW/BH are all off out for a curry and champagne session now. The whole f***ing lot are jokers.

If come Sept 4 the CWU have failed, there will cease to be a union anymore as the membership will have dwindled to nothing.

Yes you are right we need to keep the pressure on but while the strikes are suspended we need to carry on ' doing the job properly ' and try to get more members doing it.After all this is having a big effect on offices and goes to show RM have been taking advantage of us.

A Fecking explaination from the Union as to why they call off the strike when RM are on the backfoot the press and public are becoming more aware of the real reasons behind the strike and without a concrete deal having been agreed.

We had better not agree anything until RM figures are released on Wednesday. A fecking weeks wages lost with us being no further forward.

well said,the cwu say this strike is the best supported ever,if the union shaft us now then they will lose s**t loads of members.rm are in the s**t big time and what do we do?back off and let them clear the backlog!ward and hayes your arses have gone.
