How do you join the union??

Out of touch at the top and a w****r at local level.
I wonder why members are leaving?

untill you need them! what do people think will happen by leaving the CWU, if the union were not there things would be a whole lot worse, all you do is weaken the fight!! all for £3. Join the CWU and become active if your not happy.

There is no point in preaching to members who have left with these
All that does is drive them further away.
Step back and think....why do they feel that way?...what are we doing wrong?
Then you might have a chance to re-engage and re-unite.

Fact is ,if 30 like minded folks had turned up at our area AGM then they could have passed any resolution they desired. Now I could be wrong ,but I sincerely suspect that not many branch AGM's are packed with 2000 stalwart leadership supporters. A little less groaning and a little more doing might make a big difference, but some effort is required

It's not the idea of activism that's wrong BELIAL...it's using the lack of it to excuse poor representation.
Most ordinary members don't want to be active but they still have a right to expect a decent level of representation from those who do....and they are entitled to moan...and unfortunately leave without having this lame old excuse dragged out again...It's your own fault your union is a crock because you personally aren't active....do me a favour.

Agreed, However ,although it is not the fault of a supine membership that they are fleeced by their representatives, it is quite within their power to remove those individuals and change the rules of the union. They
have never had the opportunity to vote for RM senior managers.

I used to say better in the union than out tooo..... been out a few months now. Only difference I have noticed is an extra £3 in my wages each week and the only loss, no diary at xmas! Needless to say I'm happy with my decision!!!

how do you cope planning the year ahead without your diary?

Oh that's easy... Get up at stupid o clock, bust my balls at work, come home, eat, poop, sleep..... repeat!
