our DOM pulled us all to the front of the office this morning and explained that an email had been sent to all delivery managers saying all offices that have not gone live would be suspended till further notice due to the whole thing failing.

followed up by, anybody wanting to work at sheepscar office over the weekend please come and see me.

yeah, nothing happening at our office. had the planner in for 4 or 5 days before xmas and thats it. i've never known anything like it, what a complete shambles.....

Well that's not a surprise it was never going to happen and we kept telling them it wouldn't work.Back to the drawing board I think,why mend something that isn't broken.Also why do all this if the RM is being sold anyway????

apparently it is mate, we were told yesterday.,,,,but, our dom is STILL pressing with our time changes going ahead, its being put to the vote for us to bring in a 3pm finish NOW instead of april. the reason being he said was cos if we didnt do it now, then when we get the new machines in april, they will have to make 13 people redundant. unions been going round the floor trying to sell it to us!! people look like they are going to vote yes as well. scaremonging

A brief respite at best, I suspect. A few planners sacrificed upon the alter of efficiency. A few DOMs might get shuffled around.
Blame, if attributed at all, will be laid squarely at the poor quality of inputs. GIGO - garbage in, garbage out. Nothing wrong with the plan, nothing wrong with the system, just poor data to start with.
Before you know it, we'll be back on the merry-go-round.

We've had the new machines at our place since last year. Revision keeps getting put back,put back & put back...last i heard its now going to go live end of Feb-March.

Cant see it myself...they wont tell us anything,as in where they are up to regarding size of loops,shift patterns etc,which tells me they havent actually done much.

So understaffed its untrue...docket a-plenty if you want it!

its defo true, i read it on here last night and told one person in the DO that i knew would put it about, an hour later the DOM came out and started with- a few people have approached me this morning........

he did say that all offices tha had not gone live, we have WSqM in and were due a planner in nov, then jan but now its off until further notice.
we usually have to force his hand to tell us anything but when he does its quite a full and frank statement and he did say all office that had got as far as walk and loop were in trouble, followed up with "oh, and david cameron would like to thank you all for your hard work over the xmas period" again totally true, other offices must have heared the same.... surely. :dcfo

I know two office’s in Manchester that got cancelled this morning as well, no more park and loop or HCT. Wasted money at least someone has seen sense. What now? are they going to put the office’s back that has gone through it already??

RM might get a little more respect from both its workforce and customers if they just admitted "Yep, we boobed". Honesty is the best policy.

As for the CWU, how about their voice was raised and asked what the hell is going on (on behalf of all members). Now is the time for the Union to get something right and back calls for an enquiry. The amount of uncertainty, resignations, worry, anger and much more over this is nothing short of a disgrace.

is there any senior reps on here that can paint us a clear picture, or put it to us as straight as it is. what IS going to happen to the offices that are already live. i certainly dont want to go to 3pm last letter.

More importantly what will happen to the money? Will everyone now get the payments or will those who have had them have to pay them back. Can see lots of trouble on the horizon over this if it has been suspended.
