MC's still not scanning trackable mail?

This is obviously still happening as i'm getting emails regarding this and it's not just the Amazon stuff.

We haven't scanned inward Tracked items at our MC two nights out of four this week due largely to the high volume of items and that they are coming in mixed with first and second class mail and extracting them for scanning is taking too long and our backlog is huge. We did 34 cages on Thursday night all dated the 29th December. Also we are required to write down the delivery office of every item of tracked so that they can be notified of their expected volume every morning. (anyone else have to go to all this effort.)?

We stopped having to write them down ages ago (don't know why we don't just have new streams made up for MIST, with yorks set as the container type. We've had a couple of days where we've had to give up gunning items to get them out the door, volume levels havn't dropped that much since Christmas.

what's your staffing level for 34 cages? - We look to do up to 20 with 2 staff...

Regs and all tracked items is: 'no fail in our MC' maybe once we couldn't clear 'tracked' - Regs cleared...

IMO, Ordinary packets require too much double handling with the new system, and occupies too much space in a cramped office. Deployment of staff is another issue. A>B>C>D>E>F...seems beyond the comprehension of the powers that be: a) if you have a ton of work at A and 2 staff, and 10 staff at F, twiddling their thumbs, it might be an idea to move them closer to A... I've done Critical Path Analysis regarding automated and batch processing efficiency....but I just do what I'm told now....

what's your staffing level for 34 cages? - We look to do up to 20 with 2 staff...

We use 11staff for two hours and then 2 staff for the remaining two hours we are expected to have it clear by then. We have to scan and write down the DO fot all items. In addition to the 34 cages we get about 30-40 yorks of bags.
Also this week we still are not scanning Tracked we are still doing cages from last week and some cages dated the 30/12. Tonight we got 63 cages and about 40 yorks and the cages were dated the 4th and 5th January and the 10th and 12th January and one cage dated the 30th December and four cardboard cages which were undated but we suspect they were from before Xmas as we only saw them before the 23rd December.
