I don't blame Postcomm but both the government and :lfo :cfo for the current state of affairs. The government set up Postcomm to facilitate the opening up of the postal market but this was just an excuse for some very large businesses to muscle in and cherry pick business from the market (because the USO will always be supported by central government). :lfo :cfo looked at what was going on and decided that they could make a lot of money if they destroyed the company and then took over full control and stripped all the money out of it before selling it on and making more money. The only thing that all of these people didn't realise was that the postmen and women up and down the country would see through this and stand up to them.

OK rant over normal service will be resumed shortly

PostComm proudly state on their website that they are there to protect the USO. Since day one they have actively set about destroying Royal Mail. They have completely mis-judged Downstream Access. It is interesting that the regulator can only fine Royal Mail and no other mail operator, any complaints and findings against our 'competitors' must be handled by the DTI (who is in charge of that???) and only they can fine them. Don't kid yourself that the USO will be protected by the Government. They must have their eyes shut tight, because they have yet to stop PostComm in their pursuit of destruction. BOTH are to blame.
Glasgow driver.

Q. Who exactly are the Competition?
A. People who'll post a letter for you.

and hoew about signing mine too? I'm concerned that the government should acknowlege the contribution it gets from Union subscriptions and back workers who seek a fair wage for a fair day's pay!
