It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The main shifts are Early 0600, Late 1345, and Nights 2200.
But there are also shifts starting at 0700, 0800, 1000, 1100, 1145(drivers), and 1215.
The evening part time shift starts at 1700 (may be another at 1730 and 1800 -not sure).
Some night shifts start at 1900.
There are also some three day week attendances (Thurs-Sat) - not sure what time they start but probably at one of the above times, and a weekend shift (Sat shift from 0800, Sun from 1000).
And of course some people are doing SA or ED before their shifts.
