Nearly every postie carries mobile phones nowadays. So my advice is just before you approach your manager stick it on record that way you have them, teach the B*****ds and its legal....

[quote="steven100"]My manager today never even gave me the opportunity, from the horses mouth "If you don't complete i'm terminating your contract, don't bother coming in next week". So could be a interesting next week. Other words "union are nothing, we make the rules". - Something along these lines.
There would only be one contract being terminated if you had a witness or two, and i guarantee it would not be yours.
We need more of us to stand up to the bullying tactics, well done Steven100 you set an example to others in your office hopefully some of the sheep will follow your lead.

Re: Going to be interesting tommorow
His well out of order by saying such a thing as his job is to advise you how to handle the increase in mail that EVERYONE is suffering (just read my threads this week). You did the right thing by walking away, monday is another day, know your rights and how you should be spoken too. Its just a sign of weakness on his behalf to threaten you as he cant handle his job.steven100 wrote:I'm certainly going to something, i'm just sooo happy that i never lowered myself to his level, i just walked away and got clarification from our union rep. Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Re: Going to be interesting tommorow
i can say that managers lie. as much as you think their your friend, they will f**k you over to save their own skin. example. i said to a manager i have some specials and i will finish after the office closes prob (sat). can i leave them in a drop box if i cant deliever them. he said no just take them home with you. i said can i do that. he said yes. i said, ok just write it down on paper for me please that you say i can do that. he said, i cant do that sorry. i handed him the specials. no ifs. never trust them. i think our manager is great aswel hes a proper manager (in most ways) but after that i just laughed and knew you cant trust them.
