Unfortunately Pete he is not one of us despite being an ex-postman. The unions executive supported him and selected him during his attempt to become Deputy PM. However the unions rep passed a motion for that to be overturned.

There are a few on this website that knew him as a Postman and the general feeling is not good. I would not expect any support from him but it is worth a try.

Regardless of what we think of him,we should be lobbying him and people like him,lets put rank and file pressure on these folks,let them know that we are not going to roll over and die for them and their hired hands.I put a suggestion to my rep today that we go to one of Gordon Browns surgeries,yes I know that he wont be there,but what if we turned up mob handed,placards,banners etc,it would get great publicity, they cant wash their hands of this,the goverment is the only shareholder.For myself Im going to e-mail all the Labour councillors in Fife (24) and ask for there support on our next picket lines,and if I dont get an answer im going to turn up at their surgeries,and ask why is the so called party of the ordinary person turning their backs on us? :lfo :cfo

Like the rest of the Tory party, oops new Labour they don't give two shiiits about us.

Browns already said that we should accept the offer, Johnson was asked early in the dispute
whether he backed the union as he was once the head guy, he didn't like too say it but his answer was
" I do " and that was it!
Don't forget BROTHERS who put these two jokers in charge of Royal Mail in the first place?
