Down at the MC, waiting to be sent up to our DO for diversion work on Sunday + nights all next week. They have a load of casuals down there and still can't cope.LouBarlow wrote:Mail's down!
Might as well fill your boots while it's there, I don't do OT on delivery cos it's shite but IPS is a doddle.

Re: Higher than expected volumes
If mail levels are falling does this mean we are heading for the mother of all summer lulls to counteract the current heavy volumes?

Today RMCS...
Keeping mail moving
We have continued to see very high volumes of mail posted after Christmas. We have therefore implemented contingency plans to keep mail moving and to ensure deliveries to customers, as quickly as possible. These include the use of additional staff in all parts of our operation working alongside managerial volunteers. We are also making extra deliveries in areas where mail volumes are particularly high including weekend deliveries (in addition to normal daily deliveries)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The managers don't volunteer they are told they must obey ..thats the problem with royal fail they don't do the right thing it's always with a threat 'typical bully boy attitude' It still prevails within royal fail from the top down
