If you don't get a 30 min break, you only have your self to blame. It is your right so make sure you take it.
If you don`t get time to finish then cut off. It`s because of people like you we are in this mess.

Just make sure the bar stewards pay you regardless of contract length
Chill in the canteen for the full 40 minutes (8:30-9:10) with the same 10 or so out of 150! who ain't invertebrates.
We have quite a chuckle most mornings, usually over the latest management f**kup in the office. Its a bit deja vu though cos someone nearly always says 'it cant get any worse' ,then blow me the next morning it nearly always is.
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

too much mail an not enough time to do it in.......its a toss up really, do you have a break and get back to the office evan later than you want too or graft through it (like me) an get back at a normal(ish) time and book an extra 40 mins on your time (like me). in my office, forget cutting off (part timers), theres a good chance you will be out of a job........

Your manager appears to have you exactly where he wants you, doesn't he.
Ever thought he might be full of s**t.
Rolling contract or not you are selling yourself way too cheaply.
Sometimes dignity comes at a price...but sometimes it's worth it.
Good luck...either way you'll need it.

I'm on a three-month contract, I still cut-off. You get all the crap from them but I'd rather retain my masculine pride and do justice to my ego than become a lap dog of the management. Obviously, I appreciate that some people cannot choose between their principles and their livelihood, but learning to stand up against injustice, no matter what it may cost you, is not the worst character trait to develop whilst you have the opportunity. When I started the job I was far more timid than I am now; I actually go into work some days and HOPE for confrontation. It gets the adrenaline pumping.
