s**t First Day Back
Funny I thought Xmas pressure had ended. No such F****** luck !!! TSO's, customers with LOADS of packets - really s**t first day back. And why are there so many prats still queuing in post offices - get back to work and give us a f****** break! Still, I'm sure we will have failed tonight with dispatches

How much worse can it get? A LOT F****** WORSE !!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: s**t First Day Back
it was crap, heavy heavy mail, catalogues, and a huge load of yorks.
and a few extra door to doors.
what an extreme change of culture at royal mail.
moving slow postmen onto other walks.
Dont be efficient, you will be made to work even harder, just slow down, work to your time.
and staff and still coming in upto 20 mins before start time, what a bunch of muppets.

Re: s**t First Day Back
I was in a toy shop after xmas and the whole of their back room was full of people filling boxes to fulfill their internet orders.
The manager told me they now do more business after xmas than they do before as people spend their xmas money and buy what they really wanted, (as opposed to what they got).
He didn't anticipate the backroom being available for the kids Yu-Gi-Oh (if you don't know, it doesn't matter) tournaments before late Feb.
Autumn pressure - xmas pressure - post xmas pressure............IT NEVER FECKING ENDS.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: s**t First Day Back
Gonna say! We had another heavy day on collections AGAIN - returns, bussiness customers catching up etc. I remember the good old days when there was a bit of relief after Xmas pressure. Don't make sense do it. Perhaps I should retire
