Nice to see their union supporting it's members.Roy Mayall wrote:This is their blog about it. Go through the archive to hear what's been happening. Please leave comments: http://theworkersstrugglewiththemodernp ... gspot.com/Do they have thier own version of RMC over there?
If so, could you post a link please. I think we need to start comparing notes, before things get that bad here (not that we're very far off).

I think it's a wonderful idea.
When can i tell my manager that I'm only taking two bundles out a day.

BUNDLE!
I thought that this was going to be a story about the new Lark & Poop and people being paired who didn’t get on.
I had visions of posties punching seven bells out of each other while out on delivery.
Imagine the scenario. Red van screeches to a halt on a busy rat-run. Door flies open and two posties tumble out, trading blows. Joe Public watches in a mixture of fascination and horror.
Later RM spokesperson issues anodyne statement containing the following soporific words and phrases “modernisation” - “billion £ investment” - “remain committed to providing a first class service” – “teething problems”.
Meanwhile hospital casualty wards report dramatic influx of posties suffering from black-eyes, split lips, cauliflower ears and bruised knuckles.
Yep, reckon this is more fun than struggling round with 2 piles of mail to work with.

Do you think any posties play 3-word story, either/or or Wordlink while in a shared van?Straight4ward wrote:BUNDLE! I thought that this was going to be a story about the new Lark & Poop and people being paired who didn’t get on.

Re: More news from Moyaland: the 2-bundle delivery method
Any particular reason why anyone on here would think that we would actually do this?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

This is RM we're talking about, if it's a poorly thought out, unworkable method then yes they would want to implement itPOSTMAN wrote:Any particular reason why anyone on here would think that we would actually do this?
