All deliveries suspended but people could go out if they wanted to and if they injured themselves they would be responsible. Quite a few went out in vans with packets, 1 driver, 1 runner. If the weather forecast comes off for tonight more of the same tomorrow I reckon.

Similar, finished at 12.40 but that's ridiculous for any day. Parcels were pretty bad but mail was virtually non-existent. Managed to bag up at 8.20 but was still wandering around half an hour later double-checking that I hadn't missed any bundles or missorts. When I finally got out the door I wondered what the frak was going on. I didn't dwell upon it too long. My walk took three and a half hours, which is good for a long walk, especially when I was exhausted before I even started. I've been on prep for a few weeks and I look like a zombie; my sleep pattern is totally frakked up and I think I'm going to annoy some people over the Christmas weekend by dwelling overly long in my warm and comfortable pit.

No threats, just stay till your time.

Crazy...crazy day!! No mail could get down to us on saturday, so today we had two days worth. Started at 5am and got back to the office this evening at 5.45 pm!, and there was still more than half the office still out delivering. Our dom said this morning, for us to take our time on delivery, do as much as you can and book the overtime tomorrow morning. Oh, and added that he would not be clawing back any hours if we finish early on any days during this week!

My reason for wanting to post today is a sad one....

I think I'm probably right in saying that today will be my last ever* 1 pouch day! Thats all the mail, all the packets and all the d2d for my approx. 600 DP walk in one red RM delivery pouch. I had 3 small packets and 1 set of d2d.

It used to happen quite often a few years ago especially a Tuesday but having seem some of the intended revisions its ain't gonna happen again :(

Done some of the yorkies left from Christmas eve then left three yorkies of mail that came in today. half the office cut off. Same will happen tomorrow. Guaranteed. Glad Christmas pressure is over (my @rse).

Quieter than yesterday, a few more packets but hardly any mail. Had about 50% delivery points but lots of big magazines.
