I think it's just the management 'rollercoaster stategy' - raise peoples' hopes that there will be an acceptable agreement and then reiterate their demands, hoping that this will demoralise us.
The CWU must keep up the pressure.

Reports are coming in that Royal Mail are deliberately telling lies.

Me 2... royal mail want a period of calm to clear the backlog.. what is the point in letting them have that!! that wud mean all out work with striking and loosing wages has all been a waste of time if we give them a calm period!!!!! :mad

CWU have made it clear they have no objection in principle to later starts. Its the imposistion and not well thought out thats bothering them.

funny how they have found another 26 million pounds to add to the pay considering THERE WAS NO MORE MONEY ON THE TABLE AS WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE MONEY TO OFFER then under BIG AL'S desk they find this extra money.
whilst we have them by the bollox we need to stay strong and get the best deal i have faith in our leaders (i hope that does not come back to bite me on the arse) and they also realise this is the biggest dispute in our history and for certain PEC members this could be an important moment in their careers.

Add the extra money RM has found on to the 2.5% and we are then only £4 a week short of the 4.8% that the CWU are after.

Where does this figure of 26 million quid come from? Have I missed something?
