Heard today a guy in Gillingham broke his leg in 3 places the other week.
DOM didn't want to send them out but was told from above they had to go.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Postman's broken leg means no Christmas mail
“It’s a dreadful reflection on a public service and the health and safety culture that the unfortunate accident involving one postman has been used as an excuse for Royal Mail not to carry out its duty of delivering the post,” he said.
“The milkman has delivered milk to my house every day and my newspaper has also been delivered from Penrhyn Bay, so there is no reason why a postman can’t get here.”
Wake up call... Milk and paper delivery staff do not walk the streets for 5 hours or more going from door to door carrying upto 16Kg, both jobs are no where near as lucrative as they were a couple of generations ago, a sign of modern times (cheap milk at supermarket and internet news)!

I would have just sat there and waited for the ambulance after the first fall
