Prioritise................now there's a blast from the past..............remember when it used to be 1st class dated, undated, 2nd class due, then dated, everything else after.........and of course when 1st class packets were treated as 1st class mail. Oh, I was under the mistaken impression that the main intent of the managers was to get all the DSA sh*te out first . . . when it should be dumped in bins instead.
If management in our D.O. prioritise the Christmas stuff...the guys will go the extra mile and work over to deliver them.
However,if they try to push all kinds of s**t through they will be met by cut offs and thousand yard stares.
As i said if you have a manager who knows how to manage.....

Office won't be clear of letters pre Christmas that's guaranteed but maybe packets will.

Clear office where I am!
Did get a memo from the DIM today saying that "due to cutbacks they wont be giving us free bacon rolls on Xmas Eve but thank you for busting your nuts all year long!"
Well thats £200 they saved... someone remind me what the execs got as bonuses this year?

Re: CLEAR OFFICE
We could work till New Years Eve and it still won't be clear. Those that don't get their packet its hard Sh*t should have ordered earlier. Its that bad the manager wants nights on tonight, we refused. RM made the changes their problem now. As long as all the crap is out of the mail centres then the onus is on the office managers for the failure. I think our office manger ought to give his bonus up this year like the BA Chief. Merry Christmas..

Listen, everyone goes on about not letting the kids down or the customer down but i'm a customer as well, also I have children at home waiting for me to finish in the morning, as my son said" Christmas starts dad when you get home from work tomorrow". So I will be home on my finish time, I will not be going over, as It's my families christmas as well!SexyLegs wrote:We will deliver every packet, as an office we will not let down any children at xmas, just not in our make-up.........however, once xmas is done and dusted Royal Mail can go and f*** itself, cutting off every day, don't let the bastards grind you down, but make sure those kids don't wake up disappointed on xmas day, you'll feel better because of it :)

I was under the impression that the 30 minutes was voluntary as you might have something else planned, and anyway i thought it had to be given back in the same week. with us not working Saturday that would be impossible.

Re: CLEAR OFFICE
Unbelievable what has come in today.
After much discussion, finally a sensible decision made.
Christmas cards & parcels only going out.
First time ever office has failed. Weather today a contributing cause but not only.

My brother lives in Netherstowe area, near the Dr Johnson. I think he got my Xmas card though and I only sent it last week. Or was it this week. Dunno, but he got it anyway.Stammerking wrote:Lichfield not been out on foot for two days now, only delivering SD and parcels office is rammed and the queue for the callers office is huge
