Couldn,t see the floor today, packets everywhere, and to top it all we had a delivery at 9.00 with 28 boxes flats to cover 6 walks. Asked if they could be left till Wednesday and told they have to be sorted and put in frame for delivery tomorrow.
Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la.

If your manager knows how to manage that s**t will still be there on Wednesday.
It's a big IF though.....
Surely that just creates a bigger problem for Wednesday?

Not that I care, of course. I'm paid till 11.50 tomorrow, I think I shall have to remind my lino of that fact a couple of times should it prove to be a bad one tomorrow. Rumour has it that tomorrow shall indeed prove to be a bad one - in fact, one suggestion from a senior guy who claims to have contacts is that our m/c wants to bombard us with a whole load of excess tomorrow - good luck to them, the tw@ts :dance :dance :dance !

I'll be back in bed by 1pm before a nice Christmas Eve dinner - fact.

It will be a shame though because my walk is currently fully clear - on big packets, small packets, and all the mail I have been asked to deliver - there is still a load of unsorted flats and magazines piled on yorks, but I can hardly account for them. But that should tell you the answer to the question; NO, our office will not be clear come Christmas!

Horrendous at my office this morning. The only letters that were taken were the ones that had packets. Locker is finally clear though
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Christmas eve is and should always be about one thing taurus...getting the Christmas mail/parcels out at the expense of everything else....especially crap sent out by your local council.
Next Wednesday....i couldn't give a s**t about. :cuppa

Oh, I was under the mistaken impression that the main intent of the managers was to get all the DSA sh*te out first . . . when it should be dumped in bins instead.

Our office is clear of everything now, today was the worst day of the entire xmas pressure though. Loads of DSA and Mailsort flats + letters, it's as though the MC is already pushing the post-xmas s**t through.

Mon and Tues they sent us nothing at all, I had 2 boxes of sequenced mail for both days put together. Today I had 4 and yesterday wasn't much better so i'm not holding out any hope for a decent day tomorrow. It's a joke considering the rest of xmas pressure has been very light mailwise.

What I hear from Gatwick and the SE area, Christmas Day is cancelled. 29 names down at Gatwick MC by this morning. RM have done this Christmas on the cheap and the people that suffer are the kids not getting their pressies on time. What a bunch of w**kers our management still are. Always have been, always will be.

I can tell you one thing....
If management in our D.O. prioritise the Christmas stuff...the guys will go the extra mile and work over to deliver them.
However,if they try to push all kinds of s**t through they will be met by cut offs and thousand yard stares.
As i said if you have a manager who knows how to manage.....

We will deliver every packet, as an office we will not let down any children at xmas, just not in our make-up.........however, once xmas is done and dusted Royal Mail can go and f*** itself, cutting off every day, don't let the bastards grind you down, but make sure those kids don't wake up disappointed on xmas day, you'll feel better because of it :)
