There will be loads of Tracked items in those normal packetsw and parcels. The MC stopped segregating them from the normal stuff over 10 days ago and they are also not scanning them as received at the MC so the tracking has gone totally out the window.

Most MCs probably only have half a dozen people at most trained to to Tracked and if them people are needed elsewhere (like on the mech, in special delivery lockers) then them MCs won't be able to scan any tracked as they won't be able to free the staff. AFAIK the rules are much tigher with staffing on iLSMs and CSS machines

Not looking good in our office. The management are trying to do the job on the cheap. No Christnas spirit at all. Not even a tree up in our office. Morale very low, new walks far too long, any other offices the same?

Was chasing Amazon for a packet and they put me on to the supplier, who in turn advised me that Royal mail had told them that the packet would not be trackable until it had been delivered. Would I be tracking the bloody packet if it had been delivered ??

in my 40 yes 40 years service my office has NEVER failed to clear at christmas, but this year thanks to the new park and loop being rushed in their is not a cat in hells chance that we will.now dont give me any s**t about the weather being to blame cos it aint.
and how you may ask can i say this well in our office the section that are not on park and loop (DH8)will clear no problem but dh7 and 9 wont, and the reason is PARK AND LOOP .AND PISS POOR PLANNING!.
the walks are far too big and which clown decided to bring it in just as christmas was about to start.make no mistake if people were on their old duties we would not have failed (fact)
this union should be ashamed of itself as should the people who either voted yes or worse still didnot vote HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME :cry

What do you think, will we clear it? Some deliveries haven't gone out since last Friday, didn't even touch the IPS this morning, we just went out where we could with packets, never in 18 years of service have I seen anything like it, it's an absolute disgrace, Royal Mail high heid yins should be sacked for allowing this to happen, they haven't planned for the volume of packets, admittedly the weather hasn't helped, but when people are willing to work overtime to clear some of the backlog and they're told "There is no overtime to clear it" someone should be held responsible. Penny pinching twastards.

Our Office has failed this year. Thousands of packets left yet. Today we had to cut off the IPS sorting due to lack of time it will be the same tomorrow. One local council has sent A 4 letters out to every house tomorrow. Really looking forward to the pantomime tomorrow...
