No banking hrs,he sent you home he still has to pay you unless you agreed to have the hrs banked.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes its called Clawbacck and its a big no o - get onto rep/ ADR etc - even the govs own website say they cant withold pay or make you take leave if they send you home.

However, if they say you cango home and owe us hours or stay and prep then if you go homr you have effectively voluntered for the claw back which is legal AFAIK.

we are getting hammered with both parcels and cards and hardly any flats which is the norm at this time of the year
....And it adds up to no more weight than a 'normal' day, it's been the same for all 14 christmases i've worked for RM. I thought today was going to be busy as we had staff in all weekend. It wasn't, I had 9 bundles for the whole walk again.

Not many letters getting through esp DSA but parcels oh boy  We are having to go around the office in single file to get past the yorks which really aint good if there was a fire. My walk (just 362 call) is getting 3-4 dropbags of packets and a york of parcels a day and i can only clear about half.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Busiest day I have ever seen and all the ol' timers said the same, some having worked there for 30 years.
