We are giving both Glasgow and Edinburgh a detailed breakdown of sorting on the letter/flat frame, with every individual postcode being sorted seperately.

Re: ROYAL MAIL AT A STANDSTILL
we have been told not to pouch off anymore as it is taking up to 6 days for blue pouches to come back.instead just bring back in the morning ,which means peoples mail in your house overnight.also the night shift had no bags for d.b.f. and had to balance them on the frame then clear off before they fell to floor

Re: ROYAL MAIL AT A STANDSTILL
NIMC has that much mail that they are sending as much as they can to any DO that will take it,in the MC itself there are about 190 yorks of unopened airmail bags, you would think it was the 1st ever christmas,so much for falling mail volumes.in fact things have got so desperate that on saturday night there was such a lack of interest for overtime from substantive staff that they were running the imps using christmas casuals, was there health and safety taken into consideration,i dont think so.staff in NIMC have got so disillusioned over the last few years that most people are doing the minimun hours,i would put this down to the corrupt way the mail centre has been run, especially during the last year or so during the whole world class mail debacle,if the japanese prof was to turn up now and seen the state of the place he would have a coronary.in over 15 years i have never seen things so bad and never seen such a bunch of incompetent supervisors/managers,basically what we have is the blind leading the blind.

It DOESN'T happen where i work.Believe it or not,i dont travel round the country's MC's checking imp staff,so it may well happen elsewhere,so where do you get "others do it too" from?.......numpty!Tman wrote:Yebbut Hubba, you missed this bit...Same as my MC,first time in 15yrs iv'e done no OT at Christmas, and feel all the better for it.Less people doing OT every year.People just want to come in,get their 8hrs out the way and back out, more to life than money, much more...

Re: ROYAL MAIL AT A STANDSTILL
They're running the CFC's here using the CASUALS.....
It was so bad this morning - that just after we'd dispatched all the Mech Mail, there were 3 temps coming down the machines grabbing all the empty trays to use...

And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Re: ROYAL MAIL AT A STANDSTILL
At the xmas arrangements meeting we were told that with the new iLSMs at GMC we would be getting more direct mail and less buddy trays.thehappyones wrote:Yes GMC is full to bursting ....
Today - no direct trays but 4/5 buddy trays each.
Why? Why is it easier for you lot to send 4 buddy trays rather than 2 direct trays each?
(Please don't do it again)
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

You may remember this thread....It DOESN'T happen where i work.Believe it or not,i dont travel round the country's MC's checking imp staff,so it may well happen elsewhere,so where do you get "others do it too" from?.......numpty!![]()
http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 02#p329627" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you had enough input to it.
Where do I get "others do it too"? Clearly my MC does (otherwise I wouldn't have said it) and the other two posters in this thread. Clear now?
And if you "don't travel around other MCs", then why doubt that it's a national problem just because yours doesn't do it? What sort of postie logic is that?
{Although maybe you should try casuals on IMPs 3 and 4, they couldn't do any worse than the numb-nuts on there currently
