We were sending Yorks of Mech mail out with 28 boxes on them this morning as we were THAT short of yorks..

Most of them had defective straps as well.... :)
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

if this pattern follows around the country then imagine how many yorks are laying around waiting to be sent to amazon.
I wonder what they expect the Amazon stuff to be sent to DOs on if we don't have any yorks

Starting to think that our Dom is becoming a compulsive collector of yorkies. Not enough that we had to move vans
outside the yard but they are now invading the sorting office floor.
Maybe someone can invent a yorkie swat that we can use to get rid of the pesky blighters :chuckle

Have any of you noticed how many Yorkes we're getting now, with plaques on them saying "property of [whichever leech (er. competitor)]", and different coloured handles, and base. But which also have one of our plaques on them too. Particularly the ones, where the paint is wearing thin now, and you can see the yellow underneath?
Did we sell a load to them, over the last year or so. Or are they stealing them? :hmmmm

One of my colleagues got took in the office last night after taking a photo of the pile of bags dumped on the floor next to a Fire Exit....

This, just so our FSM could get some Yorks...

Sadly, that's not an isolated case. A few years ago, my H&S Rep, was forced to delete a short video he'd taken of the damage to a dangerous trailer, that we were expected to use. And this took place, in front of myself, and several of my Collegues. He was told to get the "official" RM Camera, to take any photos of incidents, from the Manager's office, in the future. And told that if he took any more with anything else, he'd be taken down the Conduct Code. Needless to say, the trailer was long gone, before he could get the camera off the Shift Manager! :evil/mad :arrrghhh

The reason given by the Line Manager, for forcing him to delete the short video?
Too many embarrasing videos of RM appearing on YouTube! We can't even take stills now, unless we use the "official" camera. Anyone really believe that RM aren't using this situation to try to remove evidence, before we can get pictures? :hmmmm :no no

We even had our Night Rep in last night - running an LSM by HIMSELF.......

Yet he comes down and lectures us when anybody else runs it by themself... :so there
