just back from my interview was given the choose of being sacked or resigning , so have resined was not even allowed to say bye to my fellow workmates

I can't believe you got sacked because you brought a couple of mis-sorts back to check they weren't redirections - after all, are you sure they weren't? :)
I could understand a formal warning but dismissal seems a bit much (based on the facts we know),

just been told by one off my old work mates the someone has been suspened for dump household has been there for years gets away with murder bet he keeps his job
