Swings and roundabouts belle. You can finish nice and early in the summer and sit out in the garden. A salary for the job however long it takes you must be fairer than bullying and harrasment to get the job done under ridiculous pressures and then be expected to go out and do part of another round at any time of year.

When you've had your WSM revision based on summer traffic figures and with time for less D2D than you actually get, and all indoor and outdoor work coverd by IWT and pegasus and a high (and ever increasing) BSI figure you'll be lucky to complete in the summer and will have no chance in hell of completing on time the rest of the year.

Under your "proposals" There would be no need to bully and harass anyone to complete, or go faster. Because it would already be your contract that you allways complete, and it doesn't matter how long it would take you because RM wouldn't be paying any over time.

It won't be that long a retirement belle, by the time you come to retire you'll be 85, delivering with the new and improved zimmer HCT - the good news is that the zimmer is detachable and you can be buried or cremated in the HCT without charge it will just be deducted from the death benefit..........fully agreed with the privatised RM/CWU Organisation..............................

I understand what you are saying Belle but the other side of the argument is that a proper living salary is paid for the job and therefore no one would need to rely on overtime to pump up their income. There are millions of people in the UK that are paid decent salaries for manual work and do not have to worry about working an extra hour ortwo and in fact gladly do it because their bosses are properly flexible when the shoe is on the other foot. The problem in ROYAL MAIL is that we have a management culture that believes all post people will sit on their asses unless someone comes along with a big stick and beats them into working and that we are all overpaid for the job we do. Until this culture changes and also a culture within the workforce of hunting down overtime, I will say primarily because of Part Time Contracts, there will be no chance of receiving a properly paid salaried job.

1.7% is still nowhere near enough for a CDV duty if our office is anything to go by.

Yep thats right Daz the attendance call rate on previous pegasus revisions had a deffault attendance call rate of 1.7% it could be increased but national policy at the time was not to engage with pegasus revisions as this was an unagreed tool.

But that wasn't for CDV's Daz. we're getting a higher attendance call rate now Daz, but thats because we are expected to do all packets trackeds and specials.
So we are doing more attendance calls.

I reitarate what i said eairlier The time at each call has been reduced from 7 seconds to 6.3 to our detrament, i'm sure Dingo can confirm it used to be 7 seconds.
