Rep needs our help!!

I come from an office that never did anything when strikes arose. This time round the office has changed and all are out apart from a handful of staff. I know how the lady must be feeling as it does seem personal at times. Keep up the fight as we cannot be put off by some small minded individuals who lack backbone.

Being a rep is a thankless task at the best of times,even more so during industrial action,any rep feeling the pressure during these times has my sympathy,the amount of crap RM are throwing around right now is making the job virtually impossible for decent and able reps.

The vast majority of unit reps work incredibly hard,most of the time they're as much in the dark as the rest of us about what's going on during this strike,but we still expect them to have the answers to all our questions.

strike breakers are beyond redemption,no rep should give them a second thought,they're not gonna change their mind despite all the arguments in the world stating our case.put them out of your mind,they don't exist.

Pistol tell your rep she's doing a good job,everyone needs a bit of encouragement,some people take it all to heart and a friendly word can make all the difference,tell her she's doing a good job,tell her you support her and get your mates to do the same,its gonna be a long and difficult dispute this is,and the last thing the union needs is decent and capable people resigning their reps positions because they feel they don't get enough support.

Support your local reps(the heart and lungs of the union),they do their best for you,it's not difficult to give a little back is it?

We need all the support we can get.
It,s hard to please people at these times and there are always the backstabbers who don't reaslise how hard the job is.

Can't we use rule 14 to get rid of these strike breakers?
If we cant, Rule 4.1 says that all members of the union are to be treated with respect & courtesy. But I can't do that if they are strike breakers.

ranks are some of the most short-sighted , ignorant , greedy , stupid bastards that ever disgraced the British working class.

Forget them my love there not worth it They dont deserve to have representation so dont waste your time or energy on these people,look after your boys and girls who are supporting you and the union,but most of all look after yourself.

You are more than Welcome, and so is the Good Lady, as we have said forget the Pratt`s and you can be sure the rest of the Unit although they don't` always say it, really do appreciate the Reps help.

You are doing that job because you care about other people who you work with.

The strike breakers are doing what they do because they only care about themselves.

I think most decent people will know that even though they might not say it so hold your head up with pride and if a SCAB does approach you at work just tell them that you are going to fight for better conditions for them because you care. You never know it might just shame them (but don't hold your breath) and let the rest of the office do the abusing.
