Registering an AOD:DWP?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Even if your accident doesn't seem serious, register the accident as an
industrial injury with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The
DWP will give you a form to fill in with the details. This will help you with any
future industrial injuries benefit claims if you develop a disability or health
problem later on because of the accident.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: Registering an AOD:DWP?
How to apply
An accident declaration is not a claim for benefit but will be helpful if you decide to claim benefit for your accident in the future.
If you wish to claim Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit for an accident at work you should complete a form BI100A.
If you want to have your accident declared as an industrial accident immediately and you do not need to claim benefit until later you should fill in parts Parts 1-7 of the BI 100A only.
You can get a claim form from Jobcentre Plus offices or via the internet at http://www.direct.gov.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/claimfor ... _print.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I had my accident in January and I did'nt report it until the June. It was accepted by the DWP who then declared it an Industrial Injury. So not sure what the time limit is.red1968 wrote:Is their a time limit when filling in the accident at work form.
