Thanks for the welcome johnnypick and Seniorman. Just a newbie question: what does MDEC stand for?

Hello and welcome beltov, MDEC is Manual Data Entry Centre - when the sorting machines cant read an address it is presented on a VDU to the MDEC keyers and they tell the computer what the address should be. The computer then bar codes it for delivery and sorting.
