Arrests after Grantham postman snowball attack

Lincolnshire police have arrested two teenage boys after a postman was assaulted by youths throwing snowballs.

The postman was in a Post Office vehicle in Hornsby Road, Grantham, on Saturday lunchtime when its window was smashed with a snowball.

The driver got out of the vehicle and was then punched in the head.

Two boys, aged 13 and 14, from Grantham, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage and bailed until January.

Good- too many people think it is funny to be under bombardment----- and yes. berfore you ask we did throw snowballs at folk when we were young---but we always made sure they missed and ran like the clappers, knowing full well if our parents got to hear, we'd be on the receiving end of something nasty!

One hit me in the leg, young kid bout 11 and teenage friend.
Called him over, "threatend" to make him lick it off the pavement.

Mind you, I saw the funny side, as when he got close as the kid looked and acted like the Cowardly Lion from the "Wizard of Oz."
