Since these people have attained the heady heights of management they appear to have some kind of false memory syndrome reminding them of how good they were when they were the fastest most efficient posties to ever have drawn breath and treat us all as though we had been trained by them personally to act in their own actual image. ie, lazy, slow, inaccurate and with a tendency to go sick for no apparent reason. Royal Mail gets the management it deserves on the whole.

I could accurately apply that paragraph to about four or five of the deputy linos that have appeared at our sorting office in the last two years. Funnily enough, though, most of them fail at management too, and return to their old duties.
