Re: OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.
At our office the managers look a little stressed and would probably swap jobs with Nick Clegg and Vince Cable just to get a little less hassle .

Re: OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.
I seriously doubt that 500+ hrs of overtime in the 1st weeek of revision at Barrow -In-Furness can be passed off so easily. We are into week 3 now and it's getting worse Imo.Overtime rates won't be dropping anytime soon.
To put things into perspective, at the beginning of week one.If you were caught carrying your bag to deliver mail it was a 12 month disciplinary.Caught a 2nd time and it would be dismissal.By the end of the 1st week the Dim was asking us to carry bags again " a sensible amount" he said,(define sensible in snow and ice?).....Using trolleys to deliver mail is by their own admission a failure!!! It adds to much time onto the delivery.
sick levels are running at approx 20% complete duties are being left undelivered for up to 3 days, and Vast amounts of overtime are being booked.People are being bullied into completing deliveries under the premise that the round or themselves will be tested to see who is at fault if mail is brought back. The emphasise here is on the Postie being at fault. what a surprise!
I seem to recall that the last revision involved more work, but we were given more time in which to complete our deliveries. Now we find ourselves on ce again in the position of having more workload shoved onto us,only now with no extra time to complete it..You don't have to be a mathmetician to figure this one out.

Yes sad to see that harassment started with a vengeance at the Barrow-in-Furness office this week . Some of the posties who have been willing to give revision a fair go for the last 3 weeks have now started to cut off and are now getting threats about being performance tested . These staff have got years and years of experience and have had no problems with performance in the past . What respect I had for our managers as just been eradicated this week .

Re: OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.
I have worked at Royal Mail for over 25 years and have never been as depressed about the job as I am now.I actiually dread going to work ! I know that at some point tomorrow I will be faced with confrontation about exactly what can be achieved on my walk.I am sick to the back teeth with it! all I want to do is a walk that can be completed in a reasonable amount of time not one that sees me working in the dark putting my safety at risk crossing busy main roads in the rush hour. There is not a cat in hells chance of the walk im on completing in the four hour span but management refuse to believe it!Last week on one of the walks I do we had five yes FIVE full packet bags an absolute joke. They tested a loop on a day when the mail was light and decided that the evidence suggests the walk can be complemeted.I really do not know where to turn im totally demoralised. The latest management tactic at our office is to threaten people that they will lose their walks or be moved to other offices if they are not upto standard.Somebody please help, this is the 21st century and I shouldnt have to put up with this. The whole thing is making me ill,ive lost nearly a stone since the revision was introduced as a result of worry and depression.

All i see in my office, is trolleys being left in a corner gathering dust, what a waste of money if they are not getting used.

As others have said, still a shambles in sunny Swinton. 25000 items failing daily, and thats just one office.

Re: OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.
Well it was announced today that we are going to get the money in the New Year............despite not being signed off.....although I suspect it's more to do with the CSS arriving in February and therefore the WS Revision process needing to get underway.
