If you look on the frame just below the seat you should see the year of manufacture - anything more than 7 years old should be serviced every 6 months and checked every month for failures.............of course when you have the delivery methods revision there will be no more bikes and so you won't need a cycle mechanic.

The bikes are old and crap, I hate mine - it's older than I am! Was riding along a couple of weeks ago, on o/t, looking for my first drop. Turned to look forward and someone was walking towards me. Tried to nudge the bike sideways but the gear decided to revolt against me at precisely that moment and wham, found myself and the bike in a hedge. Bloke walking past me gave me a dirty look as if I'd deliberately tried to assault a hedge.

Mines 1992! Last time I used 1 of those unisex bikes I got called a fag ! Only used it once! Lookied like an alien, with a unisex bike, a huge daft helmet, hi viz, and 2 overweight pouches on the front!
