Re: OFFICES WITH A FAILING REVISION.
Our whole office has yet to complete its revision but a small part (different office) has and its a complete disgrace and the walks are just far too long. To complete in 4 hours you'd have to be run round. The only thing posties can do is work to their time, if it means cut off, then cut off. Make sure you get directions from the muppet above before leaving the office make sure you make it clear you won't work past it. A employment rule book. All manager are chancers. Don't let them bully you and stick to your guns. Overtime is voluntary not compulsory. Managers only care about the walks going out the office not your health etc. Royal mail are a disgrace.

Re: OFFICES WITH FAILING REVISION.
As you should be aware the revision tools used a 'Model Week', whose traffic figures etc. were considerably lower than those under which we are currently experiencing. It is inevitable at this time of year, as it was in pre-delivery methods years, that overtime will be necessary in order to clear the mail. The fact that the revisions have been introduced at this time of year is actually masking the fact that overtime would have been undertaken on a 'good will' basis anyway.axeman wrote:So barrow has a load of toss*** who still think '''good will'' is the answer ? time they wised up as royal fail don't intend to repay them with a reciprocal bout of ''good will'''skull wrote:The End of the second week of revision . The Barrow office is just getting by , if it wasn't for the good will of the staff for working overtime it would be a disaster . God knows what the overtime bill must be . Surely there must be management trawling this web site who think that revision will work out in the end , or is it a 100% disaster and they've just given up the fight . At the end of the day every mad idea gets some support , can this be the first idea in the all of history where everyone agees it's been a total disaster ..
It should also follow that any of the duties in the Barrow office which actually complete before or at the designated finish time during this busier period must be too small!

Re: OFFICES WITH FAILING REVISION.
It's a very good point Himaggen that revisions based on the lowest model should not be achievable with the traffic we have right now....that is the whole point of the "flex up" model.Himaggen wrote:

As you say duties that are completing now will not go unnoticed by a management regime desperate for savings.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

It looks like the penny has finally dropped and the powers that be have realised that revision in it’s current form has failed at the Barrow office . It sounds like we might be getting a revision of revision and some of the duties that were lost may make a reappearance. I actually finished today and the sun had'nt gone to bed , but I won’t get to carried away it was only Tuesday .

I know it's a bit worrying when your happy becauase you think you've had an early finish and realise you have just finished on time .
