I've no idea why Deliveries don't get the 20 mins grace breaks. You'd have to ask someone who was involved in negotiating The Way Forward Agreement. That's the agreement which gives us 20 mins more than you (assuming that the Managers don't take it from us, for "not pulling our weight").

I've no idea why Deliveries don't get the 20 mins grace breaks. You'd have to ask someone who was involved in negotiating The Way Forward Agreement. That's the agreement which gives us 20 mins more than you (assuming that the Managers don't take it from us, for "not pulling our weight").

just go the same break as the regulars, 20 mins then 40 mins..you are working the same hours so take the same breaks .

Why would MC staff get 20 minutes more break than deliveries

We don't.

the reason we get more time here is that our canteen is a fair distance from our workplace, we have a mini bar downstairs but the canteen is on the fourth floor..involving use of the lift, or a knackering stair climb, take the travelling time off & we are 10 mins then 30mins equalling the same as everyone else ie 40mins..these breaks were in place long b4 i started & agreed via union at the time, now most of you may think this unfair ..thats your perogative, if you are not happy with your own breaks voice it in your workplace as for me..i am off for a cuppa

I think that attitude will annoy people to the point that they will start to demand a parity with the MC staff which will drop you down to 40 minutes. Think before you start trying to wind us up because we are quick to anger and have long memories.

i am not winding or intending to wind anyone up, like i say my break arrangements were in place before i started, now i am the bad guy for stating what i get , you realy should chill out abit. lifes to short.

Don't worry about it. You can't blame the Deliery Posties for getting upset that we get more breaks than them. I'd be p****d off too. But neither should they be giving you a hard time for bringing it to their attention.

The disprity between our breaks, is just one of the problems with The way forward Agreement. I'm just amazed, that it's taken so many years for someone to start complaining about it.
