TQ1 TQ2 On The Vans Rally/March 17th August 07 1145
Many members of the unit now working to the 318 about 85% To 90% of the walkers of which there are say 80/85 walks are on the vans.Royal mail response was to crash in 25 cycles none of which have been used due to the risk assesment factor oh and that 90% of TQ1 TQ2 is in the clouds up in the mountains. So get on to ebay Cycles,42"plasma, and 4 industrial sized fans all unused be a good bargain for somebody. Also the local agencies have been hit for manpower upto 20 25 agency staff , because the office will not put people into jobs. One agency worker was seen trying to deliver mail into a public ashtray screwed to the front of a building on Monday, thinking it was a mailbox, (smoking) the job can be drag. These poor guys turn up in the morning are given no training expected to crack on with it. When the buisness is ready promoting customer service this is hardly good practice, also the tight grip on the OT budget reports suggest that one agency staff worker claimed 11 hours for a half delivery. This is when some decide to take short cuts customers mail being dumped etc or forced into ashtrays it blights the rest of us. There will be a Rally on 17th August starting 1145 at Coach station paradeing down through the town ending with an address at the princess theatre addressed by a senior CWU member of the deligation. All units invited.

We've managed to now get an extra van in the office!!!!
And looks like we've saved a dodgy duty because of it!!!!
And the moral of the story is,well you know what it is!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hoping to save a F/T job on a stage 2 tomorrow coz we got on the vans and showed 'em the office was screwed. I got other cards as well, but the bottom line is, if we were still on the vans my job would be easy -----------KAWAK

Here's a stupid one! Our IR rep asked for an extra van driving duty to cope with the seat shortages ect, the manager says no chance but then goes and puts one in anyway!
Wouldn't it have been a lot better to jointly agree and work together to make the improvements rather than make himself look stupid AGAIN. :cfo :lfo

Here's one for you about 75% of the muppets in our office use their cars but
with all the changes they're getting fed up with using them (they say).
The rest of us ready for this get TAXI'S to our deliverys we also finish on the
street (don't return to the D/O) which is why i think the cars are used so much.
Out of about 15-20 vehicles at our office i think two are the mini-bus type
so we have no chance of "getting on the vans".
just wondering how many other offices are run this way?
