Staff communication before, during and after a revision is essential to deliver successful change.
To create or maintain employee engagement levels throughout the revision process,
it is essential that a variety of mechanisms are used - not just briefings and surveys - to create sponsorship, ownership and confidence in the revision.

Re: Delivery Revision Communications
So they want you to walk an average of 1.41 mph with an HCT?
Thats pretty slow. Not the nightmare speeds of 4mph they were banging on about before.
If im travelling that slow the round will have to be pretty small distance wise wouldnt it?
8.3 secs per call? Surely they are joking?
Im sorry - reading through the time allowances is laughable.
This is never going to work as theyre using averages.
I can see a lot of cutting off when this goes through.

Re: Delivery Revision Communications
Which page did you get 1.41 mph from pick?pickaname wrote:So they want you to walk an average of 1.41 mph with an HCT?
Question: Are different speeds applied for different methods of delivery?
Answer: Yes there are different speeds for each delivery method according to the type of terrain (flat, steep or undulating) and the activity being performed (travel, service, deadhead). For example, for HCT routes the travel speed on flat terrain is 5.98 kph compared to 6.11 kph for a light weight trolley. Similarly the HCT service speed is 5.53 kph compared to 5.59 kph for a light weight trolley. The service speed is set at a reduced rate to travel to reflect the slower nature of this task.
Edit It's OK i got it.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
