Why would MC staff get 20 minutes more break than deliveries :hmmmm
We don't. :no no
the reason we get more time here is that our canteen is a fair distance from our workplace, we have a mini bar downstairs but the canteen is on the fourth floor..involving use of the lift, or a knackering stair climb, take the travelling time off & we are 10 mins then 30mins equalling the same as everyone else ie 40mins..these breaks were in place long b4 i started & agreed via union at the time, now most of you may think this unfair ..thats your perogative, if you are not happy with your own breaks voice it in your workplace as for me..i am off for a cuppa :cuppa :silenced

The only fault with your argument is....many D.O.s don't even have a canteen...or a fourth floor...or a lift...they do have knackering stair climbs though but that's all in a day's work for delivery. :whistle

I think that attitude will annoy people to the point that they will start to demand a parity with the MC staff which will drop you down to 40 minutes. Think before you start trying to wind us up because we are quick to anger and have long memories.

Bit touchy aren't we? I think he was just having a light hearted dig, while explaining his own MC arrangement.Anyway,my point of view is if someone is getting a better deal,or getting away 5 mins early, good for them,as long as it doesn't mean someone else has to do extra, then fair play...

If it's anything like OUR MC, you'll be standing around until 3 minutes before time - and then you'll get mown over in the car park by the agency staff!!!
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

Isn't 20 minutes of that hour, a "grace break", that you've combined with your 40 mins meal relief?

We get 40 mins, plus 20 mins. But the 20 mins could be withdrawn, if the Managers felt that we weren't "pulling our weight".
