After the second one-day strike, loads of people in our office that were on strike didn't get their pay abated when they should have. Most of us kept quiet, each person wondering if they were the only one and hoping maybe the mistake wouldn't be corrected, As if !! They docked our pay the week after, of course.

Mind you, wouldn't it be funny if CWU members working at Sheffield 'accidentally' confused the list of 'persons taking IA' with the lists of those that worked normally ? Tough on those who are on annual leave or sick leave, but imagine the looks on the faces of the errrr... (people who crossed picket lines), opening their payslip and seeing a big hole in their wages :Very Happy :Very Happy

Tossers!! :cfo :lfo
Actually when it appears on my pay chit I feel quiet proud and it picks me up no end. For once thanks Royal Mail.
Wonder if the strikebreakers get: SCAB PAY- WELL DONE! on their pay slips. If I could lower myself to talk to one I would ask the question.

I reckon it should say:

CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR PAY HAS NOT BEEN ABATED.
YOU ARE, HOWEVER, MORALLY BANKRUPT :mad

Are the Payroll staff still RM employees, and in the CWU? I thought they had been franchised/privatised like the Uniform Stores.

Most people in our office got docked two days pay as well this week.

All sounds dodgy to me.

I rang tax office because my tax was the same as a full working week, they are sending me out a form to fill in to claim a refund apparently
