Jobseekers' details leaked
Bungling couriers left details of people's bank accounts and passports on a stranger's doorstep.
Chef Tristan Griffiths was amazed to get a parcel of private files on more than 100 Jobseekers' Allowance claimants. The files - boxed up at the Department for Work and Pensions in SHAMBLES Street, Barnsley, South Yorks - were handed to couriers TNT clearly addressed to a government mail centre in Manchester.
But they ended up with Tristan 180 miles away in Ammanford, South Wales. And the package was even left with a neighbour because Tristan, 29, was out at work at Swansea University.
The dad of one said: "I counted 117 files, each in a see-through holder. There were passports, bank statements, NI numbers... the lot. Lucky for them I'm honest."
Tnt delivered the box on Monday and called two days later to collect it. A spokesman for the firm, which has £16million-worth of official contracts, blamed human error but said TNT had safely delivered 60,000 items for the department. A DWP spokesman said the lapse was "unacceptable" and was being investigated.

At least it weren't a CD this time.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

and I bet certain sections of the press will report it as misdelivered by the post
I'm still convinced Sky News DELIBERATELY kept referring to that CD as being 'lost in the post', days after it was acknowledged that it was a private courier firm (owned by one of Ruperts buddy buddy boys from back home)
