My last Branch Secretary used to put any copy of the Sun she found in the Union office into the bin, saying "We're not having that anti-union c***p in here".

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Branson may be a tosser, but he has yet to put a major 'DIS' on CWU/Posties. Amazon still use RM for a lot of stuff. The £270M is small beer to BAA - they are massively anti-union anyway. It sticks in my craw but RM still gets money from UKmail.

The SUN (i.e. Murdoch) has made their position plain re. CWU/Posties. Therefore the SKY must GO, and if terrestrial is so crap then bin the telly too! :Very Happy

they've permantly lost circulation in Liverpool, there was the so-called apology but that self publicist kelvin mckenzie upset a few people , hence the protest @ anfield . All those industries that are "meant " to be privatized get stick in the papers , it's the drip, drip factor . The Dept of Transport had a dept in Marsham St for deliberate negative press, any court cases involving BT staff got maximum coverage . Then there's the New Labour Spin machine , Campbell used to make sure which paper got which story, the RMT got hammered in THE S**
& whose not affilated ? , same goes for the FBU.

I have never bought the Sun, Its a comic for mugs. I fought in the first Gulf War, and the Sun headlines used to sicken me. I remember reading a center page spread with a few of my mates in the back of a Warrior. "Talk The Tango, Like A Switched On Cookie" was the headline, it was complete bollocks and made us look like prats. :mad :mad :mad

I never understood why people bought the rag. I used to love Jasper Carrots piss take of Sun readers. :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

Hi bandit650 are you another RM Chat biker? I've got an SV650 in the shed. . . . . . . .

I very rarely buy any s***e paper and not at all now. The Daily Fail, the paper that hates the working (or not) classes but is so obsessed with them it needs to make up stories. It's like all the r*****y TV, if everybody saw sense and turned off you wouldn't hear of it ever again. :dance :dance :dance :dance :dance :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
