Which one of these would be the CDV?

The headings are load space in cubic feet.
peugeot bipper is about 80cf.
Vauxhall Vivaro is about 180-220cf.... combo around 95-110 depending on spec.

What about time on filling up at a petrol station? That could take anything up to 5 minutes maybe more.

Bit confused on the times...you have 14 minutes for the week but if you divide that up over 5 days that would come out around 2 mins 35 seconds per day.

In the other section it states 4 minutes. So what would it be for a bipper?

The 14 mins is the big weekly van check, done usually on a Monday, the others are smaller daily checks.

Make time, if something happens because you didn't check then you'll get yourself in serious crap.

so when the revision comes in,we have built in time factors for checking, refuelling, what about washing & more importantly cleaning the inside,if RM want us to take our breaks when on delivery, then a clean interior van shoud be a must,as it is now 90% of the vans in my office aint clean enough to use as a bin, they are a disgrace, but seeing as most offices are cutting off,who is gonna & is the DOM going to sanction O/T for exterior & interior cleaning?

From the duty design docs...
There is no fixed time or frequency for vehicle cleaning as this is not a legal requirement. The 'drivers manual' states that vehicles should be cleaned as necessary, but drivers should always ensure that the windows and mirrors etc are clean and fit-for-purpose. As such no fixed time is expected to be built into driving duties for vehicle cleaning. Instead managers should adopt a pragmatic approach by ensuring that drivers perform this task on light traffic days in the spirit of flexibility.

Bad move.Walk around the van, looking intrested if theres cctv, kick the tyres have a fag if so wish.As a commercial vehicle driver now,we have to put it on our tachos as otherwork as if his aint done before you drive you are up the river without a paddle.Dont say well its a transit ,bipper or some small van as the e.u want ALL comm vehicles to go tacho and you will end up doing this.Around 2014 Ive heard.

On the cpc training they show you the checks so their ass is covered. You don't have to be qualified for sod all. It's a check on lights tyres etc nothing heavy. You don't check and have a slight bang and they check that even your windscreen washer level is empty, you are buggered.

And it's 3 points on your license per bald tyre. Even a "flat spot", can get you points. You don't have to go 'round with a depth gage. There's blocks in the tread, which if they meet the tread, it's on, or below the legal limit. RM aren't going to replace a tyre, while it's still good. So sooner or later, you'll need to tell them that a tyre is either bald, or almost bald. Is it REALLY worth risking the points? :hmmmm
