Packets maybe, letters you're having a laugh. Less business mail more than makes up for the cards. I don't finish any later at xmas than any other time of year and this is my 15th at RM.

for me the busier the better, i love december, i get to stay in the warm because of the increase in sorting. i get a good laugh at the frantic panic of the dom. i dont have to double prep, no lapsing, i have half my round delivered for me, i go home at the same time as the rest of the year, i get 100 pounds for turning up as normal and i normally make about 200 quid in tips. bring it on the easiest time of the year. (plenty of docket as well if u want it lol) :dance :Very Happy :nana :chuckle

I think overall we will get less sorting on IPS as there is more manpower from no people on annual leave, overtimers and casual workers, more christmas cards, parcels and less junk mail ie brochures. And very little or no tips for reserves but again it depend on location.

You'll be overworked more than usual, there'll be mountains of parcels and packets sitting in Yorks because they've buggered something up and the queues in the enquiry office will be miles long.
Isn't RM already like this up and down the country :Very Happy :Very Happy . :nana

yep, shedloads of packets coming in every day. Some should have been delivered 3/4 days ago. Failures everywhere. Like seeing someone buy a toy for christmas, and the kid jumps up and down on it and smashes it. How ar Royal Mail keeping all this from the regulators, or have they thrown the towel in as well.

You kill them off because you have not got a clue . Then someone is on the phone to a relation or friend " I sent you a card did you not get it , bloody Royal Mail ."
Now that is just SOOOOO effing true! was doing some Christmas sorting and I had a huge pile of Christmas cards "addressed"...."Sam and Jayne" or "Manor Road, London" or the hind writing is so bad you can't read it etc I've been pulled over a number of times by customers complaining that they've sent a card and it didn't arrive coz of all you 'feevin' posties'

The one that pisses me off is

I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.
