They have recently taken on about 50 temporary staff on a 6 month contract, plus they have some agency staff from Reed. All these extra staff are on lates.

There haven't been any permanent vacancies since late 2005, and it was only mid 2006 where they took on people on a 1 year contract which has now been extended a further 6 months.

Best idea is to register with the Royal Mail jobsite, and get down to Reed and join us at Christmas, then you'll be the first to know when there's jobs coming up.

Just an idea for keyers. If we are told this not a specialised job and no knowledge is necessary, then to get our task per hour up key all foreign countries with F6. This provides a 20-25 % increase in task/hour in MDEC4. If questioned say you went to the Jade Goody School of Geography :Very Happy . After all you dont know Canada and Ireland are foreign countries.

This will probably give away my identity. Look on a good scale atlas of UK,Ireland is on the Shetland Islands about 10 miles SSW of Lerwick and Canada is 8 miles NWW of Southampton. If these are two examples can you trust others. Either they insist we know these things( or at least some things ) and we are under paid or they have to admit that all that rejected Foreign mail is a result of not using knowledgeable staff.

BTW Kalaleq is Greenlandic for Greenlander to show how how cold and unappreciated we feel at MDEC.

Paris, Blackburn BB1
Paris, Evesham WR11

Kalaleq, you have well and truly given away your identity. There is only 1 person I know at the MDEC who knows a bit of Greenlandic!! And from the same person who had the idea of pressing F6 for every foreign country!!

There is also a Paris in Texas, which also starts with the 75 zip code, same as France.

And don't forget about the Egypt in Hants, and Bucks, and Moscow in Ayrshire.
