The last van share delivery got back in at 1645pm and they were told to stop sorting their mail at 10am and told to start setting up and f**k the D2D!!! ... willful delay by managers??? :shhhhh the AREA Manager?! :no no :so there :hmmmm :left: ;liar

Second day in at Barrow-in-Furness and employees are being asked to use their own cars to deliver . The vans are only 2 seater yet they need up to 4 people to complete these huge rounds . Things will improve over time but I can't see 2 people ever completing a lot of these rounds on time ever again .

Especially as the RM Bond may not offer cover in this instance. Part of the BT2010 agreement was removal of the bond for PCOD on implementation of CDVs.

 And I'll bet the Union Reps were side by side with Management in asking you to use your cars! I hope you all said no, and continue to do so,

I''ll find out tomorrow if any one did use their cars at the Barrow -in-Furness office .Me and my van buddy did the 2 rounds today (Tuesday )and everything went really well , but we still had to book 1 hours overtime each . This is with no d2d's ,and for who knows how long ? we still have another van going out and taking our larger parcels and tracked items . We still have room for a little impovement but I can never see us getting finished on time again . So we will be cutting off or booking overtime , whichever way suits us best .

Just to be clear here, in Livingston, managers or union rep, have not asked anyone to use there cars.....and to the best of my knowalge no one is.
I know that no one said they have but if you look at the title of the threrad and then look at the most recent posts you could be mistaken for thinking thats the case.

The revision is far from working, in my opinion it won't work because the duties are far to big.
We've been asked to help rework loops, and to work O/T, but so far thats it.

Dinnington (S25) revision is not going well. A lot of staff working until 4pm and some returning at 6pm. Managers working weekends to deliver packets.

Why are the staff there working until 6pm, are they mental?

Not many using golf trolleys either so that's not slowing them down. Rotherham appear to be in the same boat.

Will people just do anything to finish before their time!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The people at Barrow who are using there cars are perfectly decent people and hard workers . Management target these people by taking advantage of their good nature . Our union rep is on leave at the moment but when he comes back we
really need to get organised and start doing the job right . About a week before revision the rep stressed to us all how important it was to take our brakes but for the majority it's fell on deaf ears .

Linos out delivering what couldn't get delivered.
3 & 4 opg's to deliver 2 duties (1 cdv duty).....in one van?
Our vans aint big enough for that.
