Stagecoach probes bus collision with post office

A bus company is investigating an incident where a double decker bus struck part of a post office in Inverness city centre.

The front window of the upper deck was broken in the collision which happened at about 1020 GMT on Tuesday.

Stagecoach said no-one was injured in the incident in Queensgate.

A company spokesman said: "We are treating this matter very seriously and will now carry out a full investigation as a matter of urgency."

He added: "There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

"While there were a small number of passengers on board the vehicle at the time, none were sitting on the upper deck."
