Royal Mail's battle to clear backlog of post

Just wondering if the 4 or 5 posties from Lanark DO are members of the CWU.

I think they are, wouldn't be me, why travel all that way on a Sunday to try and make a revision that RM have f****d, look better.

Its just greed I think.

Many of the revisions are still in the early stages of implementation and as is always the case with revisions they will initially be eased in with large amounts of overtime,night shifts and official early starts.
It will only be when this support is withdrawn that a true picture of the revisions can be seen.
It appears that the biggest problems seem to be with the full bundled WS/DM revisions....especially in the larger offices.

Sir,-Andrew Argo's article — Sunday delivery to clear backlog — was of interest to me because I correspond regularly with a great lady in the DD5 area, an octogenarian like myself.

Mail has journeyed between us and has arrived, door to door within 24 hours. In fact, we have often joked that we have our own personal postie between DD5 and SY16.

Obviously, in the hills of Mid Wales, I have no idea about your postal problems but it would appear that someone is spending pounds to save pennies.

You have a wonderful newspaper which has helped me progress through various projects.

Christmas mail backlog concern

Sir,-I see that Royal Mail in Dundee are still having problems.

On Sunday morning, when my doorbell rang, there was a postman delivering two parcels to me, one of which I knew had been posted in England on November 3.

Heaven help us customers in the run-up to Christmas.

Dunfermline D.O is struggling with the revision and needs volunteers from now till sunday. How many have came forward to help out NONE.

The revision is already behind schedule, can't wait for monday

Christ knows what the real picture will be, we have the night shifts, the overtime, extra vehicles to clear the parcel backlog and we're still failing

hi customer services here, from our complaints calls /abuse it would appear to be not just dundee in trouble but the whole network, is there something going on that we dont know about and any news as to which call centres will close no one seems to know anything and my customer complaints are getting more abusive,aggressive and one was even going to punch the posties lites out the other day, wasnt standing for that so rang posties dom gave nice customers details just in case, and its not even christmas yet
