I have heard from time to time of people who have had an issue with a company and have chosen to complain about the company of Twitter and have been contacted by the company to resolve the person issues
On Monday frustrated by two weeks of late postal deliveries and no delivery at all on Monday i had a little rant about Royal Mail and their poor performance. Shortly after my 4th Tweet Tuesday morning i had a reply from the Royal Mails very own Twitter Team - must get one of those myself - oh i have its me!
After a couple of tweets between us we managed to follow each other and i was give by Direct Message a reference number and email address to explain my issues more fully
I must say i was impressed with the response i had a reply within an hour which explained why in our area there had been delivery officer (they used to be called POSTMAN) shortage due to Union Duties and how this had led to our service being disrupted.
While it was a good response - it was personal and answered the points raised there was still one point i was not fully satisfied with in their response so I went back to them and again within an hour or so i received another indepth response to my point which while i dont agree with the sentiment that if someone is required to do Union duties there is nothing Royal Mail can do about thats their system and there i little I can do about it but I did appreciate being given a full answer rather than a load of tosh
It was also nice that the guy at Royal Mail gave me his full name, a personal email address to respond to and most importantly he gave me answers
So well done Royal Mail for being Twitter friendly and we did get a delivery at our normal time yesterday
So next time you have a complaint forget ringing up and sending letters tell the Twitter World your beef about a company and they will soon sit up and listen

Am I reading this right?
Are the wonderfully hard working team that have the very difficult and demanding task of responding to people’s gripes on twitter (truly, they must be worth every penny of their meagre salaries), suggesting that for 2 weeks this bloke’s mail has been disrupted because his postman has “union duties” to attended to?
There’s a very strong smell of BS in the air. Still, nice to see that RM have absolved themselves of all responsibility and blamed the CWU as usual.

I was thinking the same thing, just blame the bad union and don't say anything about the constant cuts to frontline staff by management.Straight4ward wrote:Am I reading this right?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
