The plan is..They dress us in clown suits to humiliate us and to so undermine our confidence that we will do whatever they ask, just how bad is that red fleece

well said there "maidstoneposty" just how bad is the whole uniform ! whatever happened to RMs DIGNITY & RESPECT AT WORK it does'nt look to me as if they are showing us too much of D & R by expecting us to wear it

...only we aren't allowed to wear any of it or will be conduct coded(isn't everything these days ) we can only wear it only when it comes in next year.

Same here in our D.O in Liverpool. The stuff is stacked floor to ceiling in a back room, making access to other equipment an impossibility ! It's now got to a point were the staff have taken to wearing their own jeans, track suit bottoms, fleeces, water proofs and trainers..cos everything is there ! But we can't or are allowed to wear it until the revision comes in. A revision, which is being so badly mismanaged and thought out - is unlikely to come in for at least another four months and if does come in any sooner then we are going to see a repetition of what is going on up in Dundee right now!

One of the guys managed to break through the barriers and convinced the Uniform department (?) that he needed a new pair of pants - and was given a pair of the new cargo pants. But we've been told all along the reason we can't have the new uniform is because they don't want us mixing and matching it with the old resulting in... a conduct code!!

Speaking of the conduct code, I've never known a company to use this mythical Sword of Damocles on it's workers as implement to strike fear into their hearts and minds with the threat of 'the sack' over such things as being late once or twice in your life, wearing the wrong coloured trainers - when the ones on order are late and not wearing your Hi-Vis ( when the DIM can obviously see you to make that remark!!)

New fleece - With no useful pocket for a pen whose brainstorm was that no pocket !
Cargo Pants- pocket to the left yee ha thats handy !
New Improved Polo Shirt- Bloooody hell new improved because it has a pen holder in the sleeve- Well should have but they dont !
Kagol flipping eck ace!
Blue y fronts with royal mail logo ye ha!
Socks with Left and Right sewn on them!
Storm proof- word is they really work ! unlike the ones designed by tetly tea bag that let the rain water flood in !

I believe its cost about £50m to bring in the new uniform, looks really smart but 1 question is - does any of it have a badge bit to put ya gold badge on it ?

We were told we cannot have our new uniform until the revision. Then the Dom gave in due to people wearing their own gear. One lad knocked on a door this week wearing the new uniform and the woman thought he was from EON.
