Posties get dog zapper
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-storie ... -22715904/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Posties are being issued with ultrasonic guns to zap dogs that try to bite them.
The devices - known as Dazers - emit a high-pitched squeal which humans cannot hear but make angry canines back away.
They are made by Peterborough-based Dazer International and, as well as going into service with the Royal Mail, they will be sold to the public through Amazon, price £29.95.
Last night company spokesman Richard Wylie said: "They can be carried in a pocket, or stowed in a pram, and utilised in an emergency."

Re: Dog zappers issued?
They issued us with these things years ago - they had absolutely no effect on dogs.
However I accidently pressed the button in the kitchen while putting it in my pocket and the cat went mental - had to peel her off the ceiling
