Its working
I was sure I'd seen a bead of sweat on my line manager the other day - Until I realised that he had just brushed past me too close

No delivery at my place (e10) all this week, unless you count a pizza deliver flyer.

Over 25000 items failed delivery at Cambridge DO today (Saturday). Almost every walk left either mech letters, packets, piles of flats or all types of mail! Staff were told to take enough mail to keep them going until their finishing time, but no extended was allowed. On Monday the same rule will apply. The DOM expects the backlog to be cleared up on Tuesday. I wonder if he will be disappointed?

Our managers are cutting off but allowing limited extended to ensure all walks are completed - seems an equitable solution - we've no argument with the customers and should try to cover every address each day we are on duty - even if it's not all the mail available. We seem to have at least a couple of days backlog at the moment.
If you have mail franked by sending companies - check the date if it's a regular despatch/receipt i.e. wages info - I've had one that posted later than usual and tried to blame us for the delay - their franking mark gave them away and my customer will be having words with them about it 'cos she supports us.

We wish to serve - but we will not be servile
