I thought pens weren't allowed in these D2D's? As a H&S aspect can you imagine tripping up stairs and landing on X amount of pens, these things could peice the skin and then how far in could they embed themselves.. :whistle

our office all got a rollocking a couple of weeks ago because somebody at distric county level put in a complaint that most of our d2d's ,of which one was theirs, havnt been delivered.and they yhought that bacuse the town council(of which i am one)claimed most didnt get it.

so after a bit of digging by me.it turned out they were were not all due for delivery on the same week.
so i complained loudly that the distric council should have known this ,yet they did not check before complaining and royal mail didnt check before sending us a letter for our manager to rollock us.

anyway distric were going to look into it.
it turns out royal mail are still refusing delivery of d2d's,trying to deliver on other weeks than requested..

why?
i can only assume because we regularly get five ,and six means they have to put in envolopes for us by agreement.they are turning down work.
not one thing have i seen implented by royal mail that benifits the worker.
yet everything that benifits royal mail has already began...

anyone else any ideas

The only thing getting six means is that you have one less than seven.
Nobody promised to put anything into an envelope in any agreement.

Because they did agree to at least attempt to manage the increase responsibly and the numbers are not due to reach "6 or more" until january.

Next week looks like fun. Most walks are getting 5 items ,so far 3 have been dished out to frames and it looks like a perfect D2D storm. One 350 call walk has 9 large boxes and 8 big strapped bundles to date, wonder how bulky the other two items will be? People tripping over themselves trying to negotiate the cardboard canyons. Can't be good from a H&S or efficiency perspective . I wonder if management have given any thought to the fact that there is a physical limit to how much stuff you can actually cram into a building?

Have had a difference of opinion with my DOM. I`ve been prepping my D2D`s into frame, (1/6 per day), which takes me twice as long as I`m supposed to take. (Don`t think it is physically possible to prep 5 D2D items, times 80, into frame in less than 10 minutes).

I`ve been "advised" by my DOM that I`m not to prep D2D`s into the frame. This was said infront of my rep, who agreed with him.
